Community Development

Disease Prevention and Control (DPC)

The Disease Prevention and Control Department is dedicated to protecting public health by preventing the spread of diseases and promoting well-being across communities. The department addresses both communicable and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) through evidence-based interventions, education, and collaboration.

Our work includes raising public awareness about infectious diseases, encouraging vaccination, hygiene, and early detection, and partnering with local and global stakeholders to strengthen response systems.

The department also focus on preventing and managing NCDs- such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and respiratory illnesses by promoting healthy lifestyles, supporting community-based screenings, and advocating for policies that reduce health risks.

Incorporating social epidemiology into our approach, we analyze the social and environmental factors that influence health, such as income, education, housing, and access to care.

This helps us design equitable interventions that address health disparities and improve outcomes for all population groups.
